Bernardo Silva could be given food for thought with a contract offer from Aston Villa ahead of the summer.
The Portugal international looks likely to leave Manchester City and bring a nine-year association to an end when his contract expires.
He will be hopeful of securing the Premier League title before then by adding to the six he has already won at the Etihad.
Once the final game of the campaign passes, the 31-year-old will be left without a club and in need of a new contract elsewhere.
Villa could step in and make an offer for Silva to try and tempt him to Villa Park ahead of the new season under Unai Emery.

Bernardo Silva Manchester City career honours
The midfielder will be keen to sign off at the Etihad with another Premier League, but he has already made a decision over his future.
Silva looks set to leave Man City when the season ends, and former Villa scout Bryan King has now urged his old side to offer fresh terms to the one-time Champions League winner.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, King said: “They say Silva wants to go back to Lisbon, but he won’t get the money there like in the Premier League.
“He’s a free, but Villa could put him on a two-year deal worth around £30m.
“That package wouldn’t be a bad deal for a player like him.

“He won’t be in it for the money; he’ll want to play games, so why not try to win something with Aston Villa?
“He’s a quality player and plays every week for Manchester City.
“If Villa can bring in a player like that for that sort of money, they’ll do well.”
Boubacar Kamara and Youri Tielemans are key assets for Villa and joined on a free transfer, with Silva potentially set to become the next bargain buy.
Silva exit to be confirmed at Manchester City
Although Guardiola claims he knows nothing about the Portuguese star’s departure, it looks likely that he will be departing the Etihad in the coming weeks.
City’s assistant manager Pep Lijnders suggested that “every good story comes to an end” when discussing the midfielder’s future.
He went on to add: “I hope he enjoys the last months, it is only six weeks, and he has a good farewell, and he deserves all that attention as well.”

That seems to be evidence that Silva will be on his way out by the end of the season, and a new destination will be selected.
Villa could throw their hat in the ring and make a move happen for a quality and highly decorated star.
