Arthur Atta made quite an impact for Udinese at the weekend and the midfielder is now attracting interest from Everton.

At the weekend, the Friulian side beat AC Milan 3-0 at the San Siro on Saturday. The Frenchman scored and assisted, putting in his best performance of the campaign.

He has now contributed to eight goals in all competitions. This had attracted interest from Fulham in January. Sport Witness covered their move thoroughly, as the London side’s approach never matched what Udinese wanted.

The Italian club’s sporting director Gianluca Nani also confirmed the offer, comparing Atta to Zinedine Zidane and Jude Bellingham.

After his heroics against Milan, it is Everton who are now being mentioned as a candidate for the midfielder.

Everton want another Udinese player

TuttoSport today report that Fulham offered €20m plus €5m in bonuses in January. Udinese were only prepared to accept €35-€40m for the midfielder and their price tag remains the same.

Now, Everton are also interested, having signed Beto from Udinese two years ago. This can potentially help in a move, with the newspaper pointing at a positive relationship between the clubs.

Moreover, it is suggested that the auction for Atta is now open. The Pozzo family’s club would like to take advantage of it and cash in when the moment is right.

They paid only €8m to sign him from Metz in the summer of 2025. This came after he spent last season on loan in Udine. He is now destined to hand Udinese a massive capital gain.

Our take: Atta could be a valuable signing

Since his time at Udinese, the 23-year-old has been very effective when moving the ball forward from midfield. He thrives from a technical perspective and is very nifty around the final third, even if he is a box-to-box midfielder by profile.

A bit like Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Atta could be a very valuable signing for Everton. He adds unpredictability in attack and has built a reputation for coming up with big contributions. As well as impressing against Milan, he also made a mark against Inter earlier this season.

For now, his price tag does seem high for someone who has impressed for just one season. But Udinese usually push their valuations high to attract Premier League clubs. There is every chance the Toffees can seal a deal for a pretty affordable fee.
