Huge Noah Okafor update confirmed ahead of Leeds United’s Old Trafford clash

Leeds United forward Noah Okafor has teased his availability for the clash against Manchester United this evening.

United are back in Premier League action this evening, sitting three clear of the relegation zone after mixed results for our rivals over the weekend.

We take on Manchester United at Old Trafford looking for a surprise result on the road to boost our hopes of survival.

Leeds United team news: Noah Okafor teases Man Utd availability

Daniel Farke’s pre-match team news on Friday couldn’t have been more bleak if he tried, really. Six players were discussed, and there was genuine fear that none would be available.

Anton Stach, Joe Rodon, and Dan James are definitely ruled out for the foreseeable. Meanwhile, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Jaka Bijol and Noah Okafor were all labelled as doubts.

The Swiss winger missed training with a new issue after the FA Cup tie he started. However, Okafor has provided a huge boost for the Whites with an update on social media.

Taking to Instagram, Okafor has posted his ‘I’m in the squad’ matchday graphic:

Of course, this doesn’t confirm his fitness to start at Old Trafford tonight. But, it does mean he’s highly likely to have shaken off his setback to be available at least on the bench.

Noah Okafor’s Leeds United return could be huge tonight against Man Utd

Many Leeds fans were understandably writing this game off after the injury update, considering the positions of the two sides.

However, getting Okafor back in the squad gives us a real chance of getting a result. He’s been one of our most important attackers, and his absence since February has been noticeable.

Whether or not he starts remains to be seen. That said, even having him off the bench for 20 minutes could make a difference.
