The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) granted Luis Enrique’s men a postponement of their scheduled Ligue 1 clash against second-placed Lens, which had been set for April 11 – sandwiched directly between the two European legs.
The decision was unanimous among the LFP board, with the governing body citing France’s push to retain fifth place in UEFA’s coefficient rankings as the strategic driver. Lens were far from happy, publicly blasting the move as an example of the French league being “relegated to the status of an adjustment variable” – but their protests fell on deaf ears.
Now, as PSG confirmed their 22-man travelling party, the headline news for the tie is the return of Bradley Barcola.
The 23-year-old winger had been sidelined since suffering severe ankle ligament damage against Chelsea in the round of 16, an injury initially expected to keep him out for several weeks.
He missed the first leg entirely despite returning to training, with PSG adopting a cautious approach to his recovery. The France international is now firmly back in the fold and included in the squad, giving Luis Enrique a potent option from the bench or from the off on the left flank — a significant boost for a side already loaded with attacking threat.
