Leeds United attacker assessing options as three more clubs credited with transfer interest -…

Leeds United winger Wilfried Gnonto is reportedly assessing his options amid interest from a raft of Italian clubs.

Gnonto had been an influential figure for Leeds in the Premier League and although they managed to retain his services post-relegation, he has not kicked on in the manner many expected him to.

Leeds returned to the top flight last year but opportunities for Gnonto have been limited. This season, he has been afforded just four Premier League starts.

According to SportsBoom, Gnonto is in the sights of Napoli, Roma and Fiorentina as well as both of the Milan giants.

He is said to be assessing his future in West Yorkshire despite being under contract until 2028.

It has been suggested Farke is happy to keep Gnonto, but that the wideman may be sacrificed to free up funds for incomings.

If Gnonto is to force his way back into the Italy national team, something will have to give at some point. The versatile attacker needs regular football and may have to look elsewhere if it is not on offer in LS11.

“I think he’s a good asset to have. It will all boil down to him being able to come off the bench and influence the game, have an impact when he comes on, because I feel like when he comes on, you're always expecting him to produce something.

“I feel like he's probably one that's kind of a bit of an enigma, in terms of what he provides now and again. I'm not a big stats person, but if you looked at it, the manager would probably want more realistically.

“It's hard because the levels, you've seen the contrast in levels, which is difficult. I think that the team as it is now, if you're playing three at the back, it's kind of difficult.”
