Liverpool badly need a high-profile midfield addition, and Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga is the perfect solution.
The Frenchman is having a tough time of it at the Bernabeu this season, in and out of the side and struggling to find consistency. That doesn’t change the fact that Camavinga would improve Liverpool massively.
There have been contradicting reports about his availability, but the latest murmurings from Spain suggest he will be on the move this summer. Liverpool are at the front of the queue, but Champions League rivals PSG could spoil their plans.

Liverpool and PSG eye Eduardo Camavinga as Real Madrid exit looks on
Camavinga is still only 23, and has years of his prime still to go. It’s what makes him such a tempting option for Europe’s biggest clubs.
The situation at Madrid is not ideal, and a report from ASDiario strongly suggests a move will be possible. They say Camavinga is ‘very likely’ to be put on the transfer list amid struggles to establish himself in Alvaro Arbeloa’s side.
Madrid know there will be plenty of interest, and the report cites PSG as a leading contender to acquire his services. Their ‘intention to keep an eye’ on the France national team star is another moving part for FSG to contend with.
Liverpool have done background checks on Camavinga and love what they have seen both on the pitch and off it.

There has been a clear lack of physicality in the engine room at Anfield this season, and the versatile Madrid star could be the ideal solution.
The PSG interest is a problem, though. The biggest club in France will have pull in Camavinga’s eyes, especially with how well he knows Ligue 1.
That being said, Liverpool can offer him a clearer path into the starting XI. This is a battle that could kick into life as we approach the opening of the summer window.
Liverpool could find a swap deal with Real Madrid
It feels like Liverpool and Real Madrid are permanently entangled when it comes to transfers.
There is always a Red being linked to the Spanish capital, and Liverpool are often looking the other way for additions to their squad.
Alexis Mac Allister, Ibrahima Konate and Hugo Ekitike are recent examples of Liverpool stars receiving interest from Los Blancos.

Konate can leave Liverpool for free if he pleases. Ekitike is off the table, but Mac Allister offers an intriguing swap opportunity. If Madrid are to let Camavinga go, they would likely need a replacement.
That’s where Liverpool could find an edge in negotiations. Even a straight swap of Camavinga and Mac Allister could work. If it hasn’t been put forward yet, it would be worth testing those waters.
