Tottenham. Liverpool and Manchester United leading way for player–‘Concrete updates’ this week

Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi will soon make a decision about his future, with Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester United in the race to sign him.

The central defender will leave the Cherries in the summer, when his contract expires. Again he impressed at the weekend in his side’s 2-1 win over Arsenal after a solid season.

SportWitness recently covered Juventus’ keen interest in signing Senesi. They’ve already put forward an offer for the centre-back.

However, it seems like the defender will remain in England, with Tottenham, Liverpool Manchester United leading the way.

JournalistMirko Di Natale has reported on the situation with Senesi and has provided the latest update on the Argentine. He claims the player will make a decision about his future later this week.

The TuttoJuve reporter is certain Senesi wants to stay in the Premier League. He says Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United are in the running and that he will snub Juve’s advances. He expects ‘concrete updates’ in the next few days.

Chelsea are also said to be keen in signing the Bournemouth defender as they look to add to their squad this summer.

Tuttosport have also reported on the interest from Tottenham, Manchester United Chelsea, although Liverpool aren’t mentioned in their report.

Our take: Tottenham could be better destination

The fact TuttoSport doesn’t mention Liverpool probably shows the Reds aren’t as keen as other clubs. Tottenham are also likely to need Senesi more than the Premier League champions.

With doubt over the future of Micky Van De Ven, Spurs made need to bring in a central defender this summer.

Senesi has proved himself to be a more than reliable player in the Premier League. Signing a player like him on a free would be an ideal deal, especially given he’s still only 28-years-old.

With regards to Manchester United they already have a number of potential left centre-back options in their squad. They could offer potential Champions League football, but Senesi might not start regularly at Old Trafford.
