Sheffield United have confirmed midfielder Tom Davies will leave the club at the end of the season when his contract expires.
The 27-year-old’s Blades career has been plagued by injury issues, restricting him to just 36 appearances since arriving at Bramall Lane in August 2023.
He joined United on a free transfer after being released by Everton, signing a three-year contract. He was one of a collection of signings the club made in the summer of 2023 after being promoted to the Premier League under Paul Heckingbottom.
Unfortunately for Davies, injuries have hampered his time in S2, meaning he has struggled to get into a consistent rhythm. He has made just 11 appearances in league and cup this season.

A statement issued by the Blades on Monday lunchtime said: “Tom Davies will be leaving the club at the end of the 2025/26 season having spent three seasons with the club.
“Davies, 27, was signed by Paul Heckingbottom following United’s promotion to the Premier League in the summer 2023.
“Davies has been a popular member of the squad and in addition to his on-field contribution, he has been a keen advocate of the club and Community Foundation's efforts in the battle against mental health issues.
“Boss Chris Wilder and officials at Sheffield United thank Tom for his service and wish him well for the future.”
The former Everton man, who will turn 28 in June, has missed each of the last two matches after making a hat-trick of substitute appearances either side of the March international break.
Davies made his last start when United drew 1-1 with Millwall at The Den at the end of January.
