Imminent Leeds United update must include £15m star – New teaser is huge news: View

Leeds United centre-back Jaka Bijol is expected to be in the squad tonight as he teased fans on social media with an update on his injury concern.

Kick-off awaits at 8pm this evening with Leeds’ long-awaited return to Premier League action in store at Old Trafford against Man Utd.

For Daniel Farke, his brutal pre-match injury update set fans’ nerves twitching with multiple players facing a race against time to be fit.

Amongst that six-man update on Friday, Farke confirmed that Jaka Bijol had sat out of training with an injury concern. It left him a doubt for tonight.

However, the centre-back – alongside Noah Okafor doing the same – has teased his presence in the matchday squad. He posted a pre-match graphic on Instagram, strongly suggesting he’ll be part of the 20-man squad at Old Trafford tonight.

While his availability isn’t confirmed, these Instagram updates have often been a very telling indication of a player shaking off injury trouble.

Man Utd v Leeds United: Daniel Farke has obvious Jaka Bijol decision looming

We know that Joe Rodon and Anton Stach are going to be missing tonight after their confirmed injury setbacks.

In turn, it means that we’ll have to make two changes to what we’d consider Leeds’ strongest lineup. It looked like at least three if our £15million centre-back wasn’t going to be fit either.

However, his expected availability means that Farke has no choice but to name Bijol in the starting lineup. He’s too important, especially in Rodon’s absence, to leave out of this game.

Goal difference is becoming a very important part of our survival bid. If we’re to get a positive result tonight, we need to ensure our best centre-back (in my opinion anyway) starting in the middle of the back five.

I’d certainly have a lot more faith in us getting a result on the road with Bijol in the lineup. Not only does he make us better without the ball, but he’s our biggest threat in the final third too. He could add a lot of height in the absence of Stach and Rodon.

When that lineup is confirmed at 6:45pm, we should see Bijol in the middle of defence.
