Manchester United will welcome Leeds to Old Trafford on Monday night, but Harry Maguire will be missing from the matchday squad

Why is Harry Maguire not playing against Leeds United?
Reason for absence: In the 2-2 draw against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on March 20, Maguire was shown a straight red card in the 78th minute. He was sent off for a 'denial of an obvious goalscoring opportunity' (DOGSO) after pulling down Evanilson in the penalty area.
Added trouble: While a DOGSO red card usually carries a simple one-match ban, Maguire’s absence has become a larger talking point because of his reaction to the decision. The FA charged him with "improper conduct" for allegedly using abusive or insulting language toward the fourth official after being sent off.
Could Maguire miss more games?: Because of this charge, he will serve the standard suspension for the Leeds game today. However, he is also at risk of an extended ban that could see him miss upcoming matches against teams like Chelsea.
Current defensive situation: With Maguire suspended and Matthijs de Ligt still sidelined with a back injury, Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has had to shuffle the deck. Fortunately for United, Lisandro Martinez has just returned to the squad from a calf injury to help plug the gap alongside Leny Yoro.
When and where: Manchester United vs Leeds is set for Monday, April 13 with an 8pm kick-off. The match will take place at Old Trafford.
UK TV channel: Viewers in the UK can watch the match live on both Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League. Official coverage is scheduled to begin at 6:30pm, providing ninety minutes of build-up and analysis before the whistle blows.
