Nottingham Forest claimed a valuable point against Aston Villa with a second successive 1-1 draw claimed by the Reds.
Vitor Pereira made a host of changes from Thursday’s draw against Porto and it looked to backfire after Murillo put through his own goal to give Villa the lead midway through the first half.
However, Forest are showing resilience in recent weeks, and Neco Williams scored a long-range effort with seven minutes of the half remaining to restore parity.
The relegation battle looks set to go down to the final weeks of the season, and right now, Forest do remain embroiled in the fight against a return to the EFL.

What Stuart Broad said after Nottingham Forest draw
Former England cricketer Stuart Broad has plenty of time to try and follow Forest these days now that his own career is over, and he was satisfied with the performance against Aston Villa.
He’s made a prediction on the relegation battle shortly after the draw with Villa and believes that Forest will have to wait a while to discover their fate.
Broad said on Instagram: “Pretty happy with this. Good point. Gosh, this relegation scrap is going down to the wire, isn’t it? Just like the title race.”
Forest managed to get a point during a weekend when Tottenham lost, and West Ham won, which is positive considering that another point has been gained on Spurs.
MORE FOREST STORIES
Broad has shared his opinion and ultimately it’s one that would be shared by most Forest fans, with the Reds seemingly unable to shake clear of the relegation zone.
Pereira has stopped the rot at Forest when it comes to defeats, and hopefully, a few more wins in the coming weeks can really have the Reds looking up rather than over their shoulder.
Broad will be hoping to see Forest claim a big win against Burnley next weekend and three points in that fixture would leave things looking a lot rosier indeed.
