Anthony Gordon has now been told that a major club wish to sign him from Newcastle United.
It certainly looks as if Gordon is one of the players that Newcastle United could sell this summer in a bid to further balance the books.
The England international has endured a strange campaign.
Hard choice – but who are you selling if you were in charge? 🤔
Feel free to include anyone not pictured!

He’s been effective and scored goals in big competitions, but anyone who has watched him up close would surely admit that he’s not hit the heights he’s truly capable of.
That has been the case for a while now, frankly.
Still, it hasn’t been enough to put Bayern Munich off.
Bayern Munich tell Anthony Gordon they want to sign him
That’s because, according to German football expert Florian Plettenberg, Bayern are seriously considering signing Gordon this summer.
In fact, Plettenberg claims that it’s got the point where Gordon has been informed about interest from the German giants, who of course boast a certain Harry Kane in their ranks.

Talks are said to have taken place, although not between the clubs themselves.
Gordon has a long-term contract at Newcastle but that does not mean much these days, as fans will know from last summer’s Alexander Isak saga.

How Eddie Howe feels about Newcastle selling players like Anthony Gordon
Plettenberg claims that Newcastle want to keep Gordon, which is hardly much of a surprise. Whether that is realistic, however, is a different matter entirely.
For his part, Eddie Howe is accepting of the fact that Newcastle might have to sell key players this summer.
Gordon would certainly fall into that category. For all the frustrations about his form at times, he has been a major part of the success that Howe has brought to the club.
The mood music would certainly suggest that a major sale is coming and Gordon could seemingly be at least one of them.
