Noah Okafor's double saw Leeds United claim their first league win at Manchester United for 45 years as the Whites took a giant leap towards Premier League safety.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin had an early chance he ought to have buried but Okafor made up for it three minutes later with a lovely first time finish. He followed that up with a deflected volley on 29 minutes to send the away end to dreamland.

Ao Tanaka, who played superbly, came inches from making it 3-0 but for a goal-saving tackle from Lisandro Martinez, having left the goalkeeper for dead.

Leeds were handed a boost on 57 minutes when Lisandro Martinez was adjudged to have pulled the hair of Calvert-Lewin. However, with now nothing to lose, the hosts surged forward with the backing from the fans.

Casemiro headed in at the back post unmarked to give the Red Devils hope on 69 minutes. The hosts pressed for an equaliser and Karl Darlow had to make a number of crucial saves with James Justin and Calvert-Lewin clearing off the line but Leeds ran out winners for the first time in more than four decades.

Karl Darlow - Commanded his area well, very clear in his decisions. Made a good save from Matheus Cunha from the angle on 64 minutes. Would be harsh to criticise him for the goal conceded. Made a superb save from Benjamin Sesko. 9

Jayden Bogle - His cross led to the opener. Had the joy of Old Trafford on the right and took advantage. Always found space and used it to maximum effect. Made an important tackle on Luke Shaw late on. 9

James Justin - Composed when under pressure, always choosing the right option. Was under the cosh at times but dealt with it. Headed one off the line. 8

Jaka Bijol - Held his ground well, even when he looked to be outpaced. Great aerially in his own box, albeit was told by Daniel Farke to stay switched on at one stage. Brilliant tackle on Byran Mbeumo on 79 minutes. 9

Pascal Strujik - Had a fantastic game in both boxes. Dominant and kept Benjamin Sesko in his back pocket for nearly the whole game bar one moment. His best display of the season. 9

Gabriel Gudmundsson - Let nothing past him, and was so cool-headed in every situation. Had to deal with more after Man Utd's goal back but managed to deal with what he had to face. 9

Ethan Ampadu - Mighty not have been a standout but what he gave in regards to midfield command was undeniable. Got his foot in no end of times in the second half. Got a yellow card for diving. 8

Ao Tanaka - Minus a few loose balls in the first 10 minutes, Tanaka was excellent with his incisive balls to dictate the play and willingness to track back. Ran the show at times. Shame he had come off with a knock. 9

Brenden Aaronson - Left Daniel Farke frustrated at times with forward balls that didn't come off but grew into the game with some nice flicks and movement, albeit got tackled a bit too often. 8

Dominic Calvert-Lewin - Played a role in the first goal through his duel though missed a glorious earlier chance. Should have scored a header from a Bogle cross while in acres of space but then saved the game by heading off the line. 9

Noah Okafor - Cracking first-time finish within five minutes, expertly done. Second was also sublime, even if via a deflection. Ran at his man whenever he had the chance. 9

SUBS

Sean Longstaff (85' for Aaronson) - Came on too late for a rating. N/A

Ilia Gruev (74' for Tanaka) - Offered composure after Casemiro's goal, as was his task. 7

Wilfried Gnonto (74' for Okafor) - Provided some neat footwork needed, just without end product. 7

MANAGER: Daniel Farke - Got his pressing tactics spot on in the first half. The balance of the line-up was right and bringing on substitutions on 74 minutes after the goal. Somehow needs to make sure his players don't sink into being lax when in a good game position, though and maybe is subs were brought on earlier the goal might not have been conceded.. First manager to win in the league at Old Trafford since 1981. 8
