Manchester United endured a 2-1 loss to Leeds in the Premier League on Monday night. The away side held a two-goal cushion at the interval following a double from Noah Okafor, and matters deteriorated further for United after the break.

Lisandro Martinez received a straight red card for violent conduct, handing Leeds a commanding position to secure all three points, but Casemiro netted a header in the 69th minute to spark hopes of a fightback.

United pressed for a leveller in the dying moments but were unable to find another strike. Here, the **_Daily Star Sport_** rates the United players.

**Senne Lammens -** Produced a superb stop with his legs to thwart Dominic Calvert-Lewin from close range in the opening minutes, though he was powerless to prevent Leeds' strikes. **6**

**Noussair Mazraoui -** Spent the opening half of the campaign operating as a right-sided centre-back and hasn't appeared at his sharpest since reverting to his natural right-back role. Appeared unsettled and was ultimately substituted. **4**

**Lisandro Martinez** Appeared rusty and attempted a dreadful pass for Leeds' second strike before producing a fine recovery on the stroke of half-time. Then he saw red. It was a harsh decision, but it was foolish from Martinez. **3**

**Leny Yoro -** Has spoken about how much Maguire supports him when they play together, and he struggled a bit without him in the team. Physically no match for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and turned his back on the deflection for second goal. **3**

**Luke Shaw -** Received a yellow card early in the first half, which forced him to adopt a more cautious defensive approach for much of the match. Outperformed Mazraoui on the opposite flank and delivered a few decent passes. **5**

**Casemiro -** Provided little defensive cover in a lacklustre first half, but netted his eighth goal of the season to give United a glimmer of hope for a draw. Has just three more matches to play at Old Trafford, and his aerial prowess will be sorely missed. **7**

**Manuel Ugarte -** Demonstrated why he hadn't featured for Carrick until the Leeds match, failing to prevent the cross that led to the opening goal and drawing groans from the crowd for several misplaced passes. Has started 10 matches for United this season, with only one resulting in victory. **3**

**Bruno Fernandes -** Fernandes appeared frustrated from the get-go and sought to involve himself as much as possible, with mixed results. However, he delivered a superb cross for Casemiro's goal to make it 2-1. **7**

**Amad -** Seemed the most likely to find the net for large portions of the match. Forced the first save from Darlow and tested Leeds with a solid corner, which resulted in Casemiro's goal. **5**

**Matheus Cunha -** Was cautioned for simulation but came agonisingly close to finding the net in the 35th minute. Helped galvanise the supporters when he collected a pass from Shaw to fire off a shot in the second period. Never stopped his relentless running. **6**

**Benjamin Sesko -** Failed to contribute much during the opening 45 minutes, but nearly broke the deadlock at the Stretford End after the break when his lobbed attempt was cleared off the line with a header. Almost found the target with a header in the 84th minute. **5**

**Bryan Mbeumo -** Appeared threatening whenever he received possession. **6**

**Diogo Dalot -** An improvement on Mazraoui. **6**
