A first half masterclass was enough for Leeds United to pull off a huge win against Manchester United on Monday night. The Whites needed a win in the league, and they did it in style.
Leeds recorder their first win at Old Trafford since 2010, and it came as a shock to the home crowd. They started the match with intensity, hunting down and chasing every loose ball or touch. When they got forward early in the game, a bad clearance from Lenny Yoro was punished by Noah Okafor, who hit a sweet volley into the back of the net.

Roy Keane hails Daniel Farke after Leeds United triumph
Jamie Carragher praised the away side for how well they set up and played in the first half. Daniel Farke got his tactics spot on, and Roy Keane praised the Leeds United boss after the game.
“He was under huge pressure, they were talking about changing him in the summer, when there was a sticky patch in the season, there was talk about him leaving, he’s proven to be a brilliant manager. A win tonight, getting to a cup semi-final, they’ve got a bit of momentum now, and the way they played tonight, it will give them a lot of confidence and belief.”
The Whites will now have all the confidence in the world going into their next few games. Up next is a huge home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Farke deserves the credit for Monday night’s result
Grabbing an important away result has been something Leeds United have done in their last few games. Daniel Farke seems to have found a working solution, and it showed tonight. Manchester United could not play to their rhythm and were all over the place for most of the game. Leeds held on and were barely troubled for the second period. For all his flaws, and the criticism Farke has received this season, he has done a fantastic job in charge of the club. The 49ers’ decision to keep him in charge late in the year is paying off with each passing week.
