The last time they tasted three points at Turf Moor came all the way back in mid-October, when they overcame fellow newly-promoted side Leeds United 2-0.

It was one of only two home league wins this season, having also edged past Sunderland in their first home outing of the campaign.

Since the Leeds win, Scott Parker’s side have played 12 games at home without winning – drawing four and losing eight.

Amazingly, Burnley don’t have the worst home record in the Premier League. That accolade goes to surprise strugglers Tottenham, who have claimed 10 points at home compared to Burnley’s 11.

Parker, however, admits Burnley’s home form hasn’t been anywhere good enough, as they stare down another relegation from the Premier League.

“It’s a long run,” he conceded.

“Of course, it's not been ideal. Of course not and it is what it is at this present moment in time.

“Like I said, I didn't think the team lacked energy [against Brighton], lacked endeavour, lacked commitment. They were foot to the floor.

"We were just...in the key moments in certain moments, you get punished.

“On the flip side of that is we didn't manage to obviously get our just reward at certain moments as well.”
