With barely a month of the season to go, Manchester United control their own destiny regarding Champions League qualification. Five Premier League sides will secure places in the competition via their league position and United sit third with six games to go.
If they're able to complete the job, United would represent an attractive option to whichever player they recruit to replace Marcus Rashford. England international Rashford, who scored his 12th goal of the season over the weekend, is still anticipated to complete a permanent switch to Barcelona after impressing on loan.
There is also work to be done in midfield, with Casemiro departing when his contract runs out and Manuel Ugarte potentially also leaving just two years after his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain. United could well pursue a marquee acquisition in that department, with England midfielders Elliot Anderson and Adam Wharton and Brighton star Carlos Baleba among those under consideration.
For the moment, however, attention turns to the attacking positions as United prepare to bolster their options. Here are the latest developments from around Old Trafford.
Rafael Leao questions
AC Milan star Rafael Leao has previously been linked with United and several of their Premier League competitors as a wide attacking option, with recent reports suggesting he could be available for less than £40million. However, the Portugal international struggled in a central striking role as Milan suffered defeat to Udinese at the weekend and Former England boss Fabio Capello raised fresh concerns.

"I've said it many times: I'm not convinced he is a centre-forward," Capello told La Gazetta dello Sport (as translated by Sempre Milan). "But beyond his role, it seems to me that he just doesn't have the ability to play like he once did.
"When he was moved to left wing in the second half, his favourite position, he almost never went one-on-one. He was the symbol of a Milan team that was lacking in pace."
Everton told how they can keep Ndiaye
Iliman Ndiaye is another name being linked with a move to Old Trafford. The Senegal international has caught the eye at Everton and wouldn't need time to adapt to English football but former Toffees midfielder Gareth Barry still hopes he will be convinced to stay put.
"He's really, really exciting to watch, so I completely understand the interest he's going to get," Barry told Goal. "But, I think Everton need to keep him happy, need to keep him at the club, because those players don't come along too often. Everton, where they are at the minute, they're going to struggle to attract that type of player.
"It's a big time for Everton to look at him and keep him happy, try and keep him on the books, and try and improve. Everton with [David] Moyes, try and see if they can kick on again next year. It's been a great season so far this year going into their new stadium. Keep players like that and they need to kick on again."

Besiktas forward Oh Hyeon-gyu has caught the attention of United, according to the Turkish media. Fellow Premier League side Tottenham may yet complicate matters, but only if they avoid relegation.
The 25-year-old has already bagged six goals in his first nine Super Lig appearances since his winter switch to the Istanbul outfit from Genk. Two of those strikes came at the weekend in a 4-2 triumph over Antalyaspor which saw Besiktas strengthen their hold on fourth place.
Recent reports suggest no dialogue between Besiktas and either English club has taken place as yet, though there are claims former Spurs striker Son Heung-min could play a role in influencing his South Korea colleague's future destination. Oh is expected to play for his country over the summer after they were drawn in a World Cup group with Mexico, South Africa and the Czech Republic.
