Arne Slot has six players out injured who could have been in the squad to face Paris Saint-Germain, but Liverpool did receive a small boost as Curtis Jones trained.
Having played a back three away against PSG, Slot reverted to his usual 4-2-3-1 against Fulham and it yielded a 2-0 win.
While Slot has said Liverpool’s approach to the second leg will be “not so different” than at the Parc des Princes, he is expected to remain with a ‘defensive’ four.
Liverpool Injury & Absentee List
|Player|Injury Type|Status|Expected Return|
|Alisson|Hamstring|Unavailable|Late April|
Wataru Endo Ankle Unavailable June
Conor Bradley Knee (Surgery) Unavailable Pre-season
Giovanni Leoni ACL (Surgery) Unavailable Pre-season
Stefan Bajcetic Hamstring Unavailable Unknown
Jayden Danns Hamstring Unavailable Unknown
Having come off on Saturday with a groin problem, Slot admitted he “would be surprised” if Jones were to play against PSG.
However, the midfielder trained with the team on Monday so should be at least a part of the squad at Anfield, though a start is unlikely.
Alexander Isak is another who is fit but not up to starting in such an intense match, with the striker acting as a real asset off the bench, in theory, if Liverpool are chasing goals after the break.

Aside from Jones, there has been no other fresh injury news on the Liverpool front, with Alisson, Wataru Endo, Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni, Jayden Danns and Stefan Bajcetic all still out.
PSG, however, were boosted this week by the return of winger Bradley Barcola who has been missing for almost a month with a sprained ankle.
Manager Luis Enqriue said the 23-year-old Frenchman “has been working hard to get back” but and PSG will “just have to see how he’s feeling” to determine his involvement in the game.
Predicted LFC XI: Mamardashvili; Gomez, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Wirtz; Ekitike
Predicted PSG XI: Safonov; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Zaire-Emery, Vitinha, Neves; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia
Midfielder Fabian Ruiz and young winger Quentin Ndjantou are still missing, though, the former suffering a niggling knee injury that some at the club are reportedly in disagreement over.
While a line saying he is refusing to play was leaked to L’Equipe ahead of the first leg, Enrique has been more diplomatic about the situation.
“Journalists aren’t doctors and I’m not one either,” said the Spanish coach.
“We have to respect his health and well-being rather than having conjecture over his injury. He’s on his way back and training with the team.”
