Wolves’ defeat at West Ham was a demoralising one.
I think that is the key word for fans, because there was still a little bit of hope, even though it looked impossible.
But with the upturn in form and performances, you did think that if we could continue that and have a team study and just never do know.
However, this weekend now looks like it could realistically be the game that seals Wolves’ fate with relegation to the Championship, and that’s disappointing.
The manner of the defeat is difficult to take and after a long time without a game, you never really knew how it would affect the players.
It's such a unique situation and you try to do everything right, but I think Wolves were at a disadvantage with West Ham playing in the FA Cup the week before. Even though they played 120 minutes, I think having that competitive nature helped them.
Although Wolves started really well in the game for the first 10-15 minutes, when you play against a Nuno team, they’re quite happy for you to do that.
We saw it at Wolves, they’re happy to make sure they’re hard to break down initially and then they try to build their way into the game, and that’s exactly what they did.
Wolves had a good spell at the start of the second half too but didn’t do enough to test West Ham.

The timing of the goal just before half-time killed Wolves, alongside the two quickfire goals in the second half which sealed the game.
The manner of the second half will really deflate Rob Edwards a little bit.
In recent games, they showed an awful lot of spirit in their performances. They showed that they're a team that really want to fight. Even if they are going to get relegated, they'll do it with some real passion in these final few games.
That was lacking a little bit in the second half, especially when those back-to-back goals went in.
It's going to be a big week now, preparing for Leeds and the last six games.
You don't want the season to fizzle out, you need to try and keep the fans engaged because every Premier League game is going to be tough and you need them with you.
Realistically, you've got a lot of winnable games and you can have a big say on the rest of the relegation picture as well. Hopefully, they can use that West Ham game to approach these final games with a little bit more fight, just to give the fans some optimism heading into next season.
They will have to go into the next two games against Leeds and Spurs without Yerson Mosquera after his booking gave him a two-game ban.
I do think he shows flashes of ill discipline and Edwards will be furious because he touched on it before the game.
There’s not many games left and two miss two Premier League fixtures for gesturing for the yellow card to the referee, is really disappointing.
Edwards will have some stern words with Mosquera behind closed doors to let him know that it’s not acceptable.
He's let himself down a little bit as well because playing in Premier League games is not easy and Mosquera has had to wait a long time to get this run in the team with the injuries he had last season.
He'll feel really disappointed in himself and Edwards will be hoping he can cut that out moving forward so we don't lose key players like that again.
