Matz Sels was in fine form for Nottingham Forest against Aston Villa on Sunday but he’s been overlooked for the Team of the Week by Clinton Morrison.
It will come as no surprise that Troy Deeney has overlooked every Forest player despite a very positive point against Villa too, with Morrison giving credit to one Reds star.
Who was your Man of the Match vs Aston Villa?
Sels made a number of high-quality saves to deny Ollie Watkins and John McGinn, with Forest indebted to his brilliance over the 90 minutes.
However, the Belgian wasn’t given the nod by Morrison as he chose his Sky Sports Team of the Week, with another Forest player catching his eye instead.

Neco Williams named in Sky Sports Team of the Week
The Welsh defender was the goalscoring hero for Forest during the draw against Aston Villa, with the defender equalising after Murillo had earlier scored an own goal.
Williams scored from outside the penalty area as Forest finally found the way to the goal on home soil to deny Champions League-chasing Villa a big three points.
Williams had other positive chances to score during the 90 minutes, and Morrison was suitably impressed enough to name him in the Sky Sports Team of the Week.
MORE FOREST STORIES
Williams was given the official Premier League Man of the Match for his efforts against Villa, and this season, the Reds’ left-back has been incredible despite a largely drab season for the club.
Williams on course for Forest Player of the Year award
Much will likely be determined based on what happens between now and the end of the season, but Williams is a contender for the Player of the Year award.
Not many players have showcased the level of consistency that Williams has produced across the season, and he’s given every drop of effort to the cause.
🔢How many points do Forest take from this run of fixtures…
Elliot Anderson and Morgan Gibbs-White might have a say in the accolade too, but Williams is arguably slightly better placed to claim the award this season.
Morrison was right to recognise him for his efforts last weekend and the challenge for Williams now is to finish with a flourish and help Forest remain in the Premier League.
