Liverpool may face competition from Bayern Munich for Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Toure, according to journalist Christian Falk.
Writing on his personal website, CF Bayern Insider, Falk suggested that the Ivorian international could be a potential replacement for Mo Salah, but the Reds may have a battle on their hands if they want the player:
“One possible successor [for Salah] that has been mooted for Liverpool is Bazoumana Toure. He’s also on the list of Bayern Munich.”

“Perhaps they’ll enter talks for this player. And if both clubs are in for the Hoffenheim star, things could get very interesting!”
What do Liverpool fans need to know about the forward?
Toure started his career in his native country, Ivory Coast, with ASEC Mimosas, before Hammarby signed him for a six-figure sum in March 2024.
The winger played just 29 times for the Swedish side, spending less than twelve months with the club, prior to his €10m switch to Hoffenheim.
In his first full season in the Bundesliga, Toure has caught the eye, having scored 3 goals and provided 11 assists in 25 league appearances.
How much would Toure cost?
Reports in the German media last week suggested that Hoffenheim would hold out for at least €40m (£35m), and their sporting director Andreas Schicker was bullish when asked about potential interest from other clubs:
“Bazou has developed very well. We brought him from Sweden a year and a half ago. You can see week after week what qualities he brings.”
“With him it’s like this: if there is interest – and it’s noticeable because he delivers every week – then it has to be at a level that Hoffenheim has not seen before.”
Hoffenheim’s record sale is the €43.5m they received from Newcastle for Joelinton in the summer of 2019.
