The first real image of Liverpool’s home kit for next season has leaked, and fans will love the throwback to the iconic late 1980s and early 1990s look.
The return of Adidas as the club’s kit manufacturer has been a success, with all three strips – including their long-sleeve versions – proving popular among supporters.
Their second season of offerings looks to follow in the same footsteps, with the home kit taking inspiration from the iconic Candy strip of 1989-91.
Footy Headlines previously revealed it will feature the same striking all-over design, only slightly larger, with the kit itself to be a darker shade of ‘Active Maroon’.
And now “the first real image” of what fans can expect to see at Anfield next season has leaked, offering a glimpse at what the Reds will don for 2026/27:
White accents are used for the badge, Adidas logo and Standard Chartered sponsor, in addition to the brand’s historical stripes and sleeve cuffs.
Like this season’s home kit, it will use Liverpool’s modern Liverbird emblem, despite the popularity of throwback editions on the away and third strips.
The throwback look will certainly prove popular, with the ‘Candy’ strip comfortably among the club’s best of all time.
Next season’s away kit is reported to be white with light grey and red detailing, with its design explained to be inspired by the ticket stubs of the 1970s.
A black, silver and red third kit also appears to be in the reckoning, with a pattern which is said to resemble the Kop’s waving flags in an abstract manner.

Liverpool will likely see the release of the new home kit in May or early June, with it expected that Slot’s side will don the new strip on the final day of the Premier League season.
Brentford are the visitors on May 24, and it will be the first and only time that Mo Salah or Andy Robertson will don the strip after announcing their exits this summer.
The away and third kits will then be launched later in the year, with the latter only likely to be available once the 2026/27 season has got underway.
Due to the World Cup, the next Premier League campaign will start on August 22.
