Frank Lampard wants to bring Jesse Derry to Coventry
Unsurprisingly, Lampard is ready to turn to his former club in his bid to get Coventry ready for what will be a tough campaign in English football’s top division.
According to TEAMtalk, Lampard wants to sign Chelsea youngster Jesse Derry on a season-long loan.
Derry has managed to earn some first-team experience this season after making a couple of appearances in the FA Cup.

He is yet to appear in the Premier League, but that could change next term if Coventry can agree a deal with Chelsea.
Derry recently showcased his talent on the international stage after scoring two goals for England Under-19s. He helped them to beat Portugal 6-0 in the last international break.
Coventry loan could be perfect for Jesse Derry
In the past, Lampard has worked with Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori after bringing them in on loan, and that really helped their development.
Something similar could happen with Derry or whoever Lampard is able to sign on loan from Chelsea. Playing regularly in the Premier League in general will aid the young winger.
With that in mind, Chelsea should give serious consideration to loaning Derry to Lampard’s Coventry. The 18-year-old will not be a starter at Stamford Bridge next term, so a loan makes perfect sense.
