Leeds United are still failing to make the most of Wilfried Gnonto.
The Whites moved one step closer to survival on Monday night with a 2-1 victory away to Manchester United, with Noah Okafor providing the goods on his return from injury.
It means that Daniel Farke‘s side are now six points above the drop zone ahead of the final six games of the season.
And while Okafor will get his plaudits, and rightfully so, plenty will be reserved for the performance of Ao Tanaka at Old Trafford.
Tanaka was immense for Leeds, and it showcased the biggest mistake Farke has been making all season.

Daniel Farke must show faith in Wilfried Gnonto
Tanaka was in the same boat as Gnonto for the most part, having so often been frozen out of the team, and linked with an exit from Leeds as a result.
His recent return to the pitch, on a more regular basis, has seen Leeds reap the rewards from the quality he has at his disposal, and the same will happen with Gnonto.

Once again, Brenden Aaronson offered little against the Red Devils, and while Gnonto failed to light the game up after his introduction, he has the ability to.
The Italian, despite his lack of gametime, ranks among the top 21.5 per cent of forwards in the Premier League for completed passes per game, while also being among the top 23.8 per cent for duels won.

Having had a hand in 15 goals last season, Leeds know the quality that Gnonto has to offer in the final third with more access to minutes.
And if Farke can give him that ahead of the final six games, as he has done with Tanaka, then they will certainly get the benefits.
Daniel Farke needs Gnonto’s versatility
It’s not just his quality that Leeds could do with, but Gnonto’s versatility can also play a crucial role.
The Italian can lead the line towards the latter stages of a game, or link the play from midfield to attack, as he did so often in the Championship.
It makes very little sense as to why he’s had so little access to gametime in the Premier League this season, and now is the time for Farke to change that if he is to keep Leeds in the top flight.
