Pros of GW33 Free Hit:
Can get to 11 Double Gameweek players without using any Free Transfers.
Can attack with players who you might need only for the Double Gameweek but not long term- Like Leeds defense, Brighton Midfielders, Bournemouth Defenders and even Chelsea attackers to an extent.
Works well if you have already planned for GW34 Blank along with a Gameweek 35 Wildcard.
Cons of GW33 Free Hit:
Likely to be without Higher owned and consistent Single Gameweek players like Gabriel and Bruno Fernandes.
GW34 will be a Blank Gameweek for City, Chelsea, Brighton, Bournemouth, Burnley and Leeds. If you have not planned for it accordingly, It will be difficult to navigate just with Free Transfers. In that case, GW34 Free Hit might be a better option.
Difficult to fight with GW33 Bench Boost teams as the template would be similar and it will be difficult to differentiate from them.

Goal Keeper and Defenders:
Darlow, O Reilly, Van Hecke, Senesi make the backline ensuring coverage from most of the Double Gameweek teams.
Darlow and Leeds have a decent Double Gameweek with one of the games being Wolves making their clean sheet odds really good. Leeds have a 41% chance of a clean sheet vs Wolves and 19% chances of a clean sheet vs Bournemouth. Darlow has started every league game since GW22 and has kept 2 clean sheets from the last 3 games.
O’Reilly is coming on the back off a 14 pointer vs Chelsea in Gameweek 32. That makes it :14 Shots, 4 Goals, 3 Clean sheets, 5 Big Chance Involvements 3 Double Digit Hauls, 52 FPL Points over his last 5 games. He is comfortably the Highest scoring Defender during this time.
Top Defenders for FPL Points since GW26:
Note: It is to be noted that O’Reilly got subbed off with a knock vs Chelsea after 63 minutes. So have an eye on the latest injury news/Press conference quotes and if he is ruled out Guehi/Nunes are the next best defense picks from Manchester City.
Van Hecke(vs tot, CHE) and Senesi(vs new, LEE) do not have Best clean sheet potential across the Double Gameweek but both have decent clean sheet chances and both of them are really good for DEFCON as well.
Top Defenders for DEFCON over the last 6 Gameweeks:
Midfielders:
We start with a Double up in Chelsea midfield- Palmer and Enzo Fernandez. Yes Chelsea have not won a game and have not scored in the last 3 games- But it is to be noted that they have played Manchester City, Newcastle and Everton during this run. And Enzo was also not part of the squad for the Manchester City game. Further deep diving into the numbers, Chelsea have the best xG in the league over the last 6 Gameweeks.
Chelsea Attack rank over the last 6 Gameweeks:
1st for xG
4th for Big Chances
6th for Shots inside the box
Both Palmer and Enzo are proven performers with Palmer having 9 goals, 2 assists from 19 starts this season and Enzo Fernandez having 8 Goals, 4 Assists from 29 starts this season. With slightly better fixtures coming up and the fight for Champions league spots still there, Chelsea’s attackers should be among the returns in the coming fixtures.
Semenyo is the next pick in Midfield backed up by good underlying data and also output. Semenyo is the 2nd Highest scoring Midfielder in the game with 15 goals, 6 assists and 176 Points already. He is almost playing like a second striker with Haaland in the current set up. Even with 2 blanks in the last 2 games, There is nothing to worry and Semenyo is still an excellent FPL pick.
Tavernier rounds up the Midfield having been really unlucky not to get the big hauls since his return from injury. His underlying data has been among the best among midfielders during this time. Tavernier is also on set pieces, corners and a share of penalties.
Tavernier Attack rank among Midfielders(since GW28):
Shots- 2nd
Shots on Target- 4th
xG- 2nd
xGI- 4th
Chances created- 5th
Forwards:
Haaland is just simply the Best/Reliable Captaincy pick on Free Hit considering the Man City double. He is a no-brainer on the GW33 Free Hit Draft.
Talking about another must own pick on GW33 Free Hit- It is indeed Joao Pedro. The managers who don’t own Joao Pedro know more about how good he has been this season. 14 Goals, 9 Assists speaks for itself. He has the ability to go big in any of the games on his day as seen by his 19 pointer vs Villa recently in GW29.
The forwards are rounded up by Calvert Lewin who hasn’t scored since GW25. But he is the classic Free Hit punt for a Double Gameweek considering Wolves as one of the fixtures. Leeds play in a style that suit Calvert Lewin as the target man with crosses coming in. With penalties also in his locker, Leeds finding form in the relegation battle- Calvert Lewin is indeed a good shout for GW33 Free Hit.

FPL GW33 Free Hit Draft 2
This is a more upside chasing draft if you are looking at one with the Manchester City Triple up in attack- Cherki coming in place of O Reilly. If O’Reilly is ruled out due to injury this draft could very much come into play. With the title race wide open, City wanting a win vs Arsenal and another good fixture vs Burnley a triple up in attack can work wonders.
This draft also has Kroupi Jr as one of the Differentials having scored 2 goals from the last 2 games vs Manchester United and Arsenal. Even with the minutes risk, He is worth a punt considering the form.
This GW33 Free Hit draft also has more attack minded defenders like Truffert, Bogle who are not good for DEFCON but play higher up on the pitch and can get an attacking return.

FPL GW33 Free Hit Draft 3
This is a slightly different draft with a 4-3-3 formation. Leeds defense double up, Bournemouth defense double up which will help you to chase the ranks if you want to differentiate from the GW33 Bench Boost template.
Welbeck is another addition to this draft to get a cover from Brighton attack.
Okafor who scored 2 goals vs Manchester United in GW32 is also an option over Enzo Fernandez if you feel like taking the risk.
