Ipswich's McKenna among Cherries' candidates to replace Andoni Iraola

The Echo understands that the current Ipswich boss is admired by Bournemouth, and he has done a stellar job with the Suffolk club.

But McKenna, who took Ipswich from League One to the Premier League in successive seasons, will be eyeing up a return to the top flight this term, with the Tractor Boys currently in the automatic promotion spots.

The Ipswich boss also has a lot of control over the football operations at the club, which would need negotiation as that has not been the case for Iraola at Cherries, and McKenna is on a deal that runs to 2028.

Marco Rose is also reportedly a target, with the German currently out of work having most recently managed RB Leipzig.

Rose has managed RB Salzburg, where he did not lose a home game and reached the Europa League quarterfinals and Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he reached the knockout stage of the Champions League.

He then led Borussia Dortmund to a second placed finish in the Bundesliga in his sole season at the club, before moving to Leipzig, where he won the DFB-Pokal.

He was sacked there in March of 2025.
