As the season starts to wind down, Brighton loan players continue to impress for their clubs. Carl Rushworth’s clean sheet helped Coventry City take one step closer to promotion from the Championship, while Amario Cozier-Duberry looks primed to play a large role in Bolton’s League One promotion push. On the other extreme, Facundo Buonanotte and Tommy Watson continue to struggle for minutes at Leeds and Millwall.
The Brighton Base takes a closer look at these players and at how the rest of the Brighton loan army performed in the last week.
Evan Ferguson (AS Roma): N/A
Out for the season with an ankle injury.
Brajan Gruda (RB Leipzig): vs. Borussia Mönchengladbach
Played 12 minutes from the bench in a 1-0 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach. The winger suffered a groin injury on international duty with the German Under-21s during the last international break. He is still being eased back into Ole Werner’s RB Leipzig side.
Diego Coppola (Paris FC): vs. Monaco
Played all 90 minutes of Paris FC’s dominant 4-1 win over Monaco on Friday night. The Italian played on the right side of a traditional centre-back pairing, rather than as part of a back-three. He made 14 defensive contributions, the most out of any player on the pitch.
Facundo Buonanotte (Leeds): vs. Manchester United
Was an unused substitute for Leeds in their upset 2-1 victory over Manchester United on Monday night. While he didn’t get on to the pitch, it was the first time Buonanotte had made a Premier League matchday squad for Leeds since, again, being named on the bench in a 0-0 draw with Chelsea on 10 February.
Tommy Watson (Millwall): vs. West Brom
Played 17 minutes from the bench in a 0-0 draw with West Brom on Friday. Watson has started just one match for Millwall since the end of February.

Malick Yalcouye (Swansea City): vs. Leicester City
Was an unused substitute for Swansea City in their 1-0 win over Leicester City on Saturday.
Ibrahim Osman (Birmingham City): vs. Wrexham
Started and played 78 minutes for Birmingham City in their 2-0 win over Wrexham. The winger created one chance but did not directly contribute to either goal.
James Beadle (Birmingham City): vs. Wrexham
Played the entire match and kept a clean sheet for Birmingham City in their big win over Wrexham. The England Under-21 international has now kept eight league clean sheets this season.
Eiran Cashin (Blackburn Rovers): vs. Stoke City
Returned from injury and played all 90 minutes of Blackburn Rovers’ 1-1 draw with Stoke City on Saturday.
Jeremy Sarmiento (Middlesbrough): vs. Portsmouth
Played 45 minutes before being substituted off at half-time in Middlesbrough’s 1-0 defeat to Portsmouth.
Carl Rushworth (Coventry City): vs. Sheffield Wednesday
Played all 90 minutes and kept a clean sheet in Coventry City’s 0-0 draw with Sheffield Wednesday. The goalkeeper did not face a single shot on target in the match.
Amario Cozier-Duberry (Bolton Wanderers): vs. Cardiff City
Played 30 minutes from the bench in a 2-0 loss to Cardiff City. The wingers’ minutes are being tightly managed by Bolton boss Steven Schumacher as he recovers from a long-term knee injury.
The Trotters are still in the midst of a promotion push, but have hit some inconsistent form recently. Schumacher said after the match that he hoped Cozier-Duberry could ‘give the crowd a bit of a lift’.
Yoon Do-young (FC Dordrecht): vs. ADO Den Haag
Played 76 minutes in Dordrecht’s 1-0 win over ADO Den Haag. The South Korean winger had played in six matches without a win before that victory on Sunday.
Kamari Doyle (Reading): vs. Doncaster Rovers
Missed Reading’s 1-0 loss with a hamstring injury, which he suffered just last week. He was listed as ‘doubtful’ ahead of the match, so he is not expected to be out for a significant period of time.
Caylan Vickers (Wigan Athletic): vs. Mansfield Town
Was not included in Wigan Athletic’s squad for their 2-1 win over Mansfield Town this weekend. The Brighton loan player does not appear to be injured.
Jacob Slater (Harrogate Town): vs. Newport County
Played 70 minutes and notched an assist in Harrogate Town’s 2-1 loss to Newport County on Saturday.
