Liverpool confirmed Xi vs. PSG: Isak finally starts with Salah benched

Alexander Isak starts his first game of 2026 in a surprising Liverpool lineup vs. Paris Saint-Germain, with Arne Slot again naming Mo Salah on the bench.

Slot has now left Salah out of the starting lineup for both legs of Liverpool’s Champions League quarter-final against PSG.

Liverpool could also remain in their usual 4-2-3-1 setup with Ekitike on the left and Isak as lone striker, with PSG manager Luis Enrique left guessing.

There are no changes to the PSG XI that thumped Liverpool 2-0 in Paris last week, with a fully rested side boosted by the return of Bradley Barcola to the bench.

PSG: Safonov; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Neves, Vitinha, Zaire-Emery; Dembele, Kvaratskhelia, Doue
