Aston Villa are actively discussing a move to sign Leo Scienza from Southampton this summer after completing their scouting mission on the talented winger.
Aston Villa considering Scienza as part of attacking revamp
It's not going to be an easy summer for Aston Villa, with Morgan Rogers' future likely to come into question once again, but a large sale could finally allow them to welcome impressive reinforcements of their own.
Reports have already claimed that both Manchester United and Chelsea are chasing Rogers ahead of the summer and that should come as no surprise. The midfielder has enjoyed yet another impressive campaign - scoring 10 goals and assisting another eight in all competitions.
His exit would come as a blow, but it would also open the door for a new talisman to arrive in the Midlands. And on that front, it seems as though Aston Villa are already planning some impressive deals.
The likes of Bernardo Silva have already been linked with a move to Villa Park and that would certainly be a statement move. Meanwhile, Harry Wilson is also threatening to steal the headlines, with his Fulham contract set to come to an end at the end of the season.

Aston Villa star now poised to leave regardless of potential Champions League place
The Villans face losing him this summer.
If Villa are looking to replace Rogers' goal involvements, then signing a winger who's scored 11 goals and created another seven in all competitions would be an excellent move.
It's not just Premier League stars that they're after, either. According to reports in Brazil, as relayed by Sport Witness, Aston Villa are now actively discussing a move for Leo Scienza behind the scenes, having already sent scouts to watch the Southampton winger.
£25m Scienza could replace Morgan Rogers
In many ways, it would be quite fitting if Aston Villa welcomed the Championship's latest talisman to replace their star man, who arrived from England's second tier in 2024.

Scienza, whilst not as young as Rogers was when he arrived in 2024, is certainly capable of replicating his influence in the Midlands. The 27-year-old put on a show in front of scouts last weekend too, scoring the equaliser before Southampton went on to defeat Derby County.
The Brazilian looks destined for the Premier League one way or another and after playing his part in 18 goals in all competitions this season, that should come as no shock.
Leo Scienza has a release clause worth just £25m at Southampton
The winger has also earned plenty of deserved praise from around the Championship, including from Coventry City manager Frank Lampard, who said: "He was a big threat the whole game because he can slip out of the way. He can come inside and shoot. He's an outstanding player in his league."
