Cherries will do everything they can to reach playoffs despite Bedford loss: Bleazard

Bournemouth were beaten 2-1 by Real Bedford on Sunday, which takes their playoff hopes out of their hands.

They now must beat Lewes and Watford, and hope that Bedford do them a favour on the final day and defeat Plymouth Argyle for them to qualify.

Asked what the mindset of the group will be for the final two matches of the campaign, Bleazard told the Daily Echo: “I always say we focus on ourselves and that doesn't change.

“I think people forget that us and Real Bedford are the two teams that got promoted into this league.

“To see where we are, I think it's a credit to both clubs. And also the league itself for the competitiveness of it.

“Like we've always said, we've come into it, we've had no pressure on us, and we've put ourselves in this position, which is fantastic. And all the girls and the staff should be really, really proud of that.

“Obviously we're in a position where we could push for it, and we're still going to do everything we can because at the end of the day they're all winners and they want to achieve things and they're all super competitive.

“So we'll go into the last two games, game plans don't change— attitude, work rate, nothing changes whether we've won today or lost today.

“So from that point of view, like I said, I'm super proud of the girls. Their work rate was phenomenal today.

“It's just those fine details, but we'll all reflect on it, and, and come tomorrow, it's all focused on Lewes.”
