Sunderland linked with huge double transfer exit as Florent Ghisolfi faces major decisions –…

Brian Brobbey and Noah Sadiki draw major interest as Sunderland brace for big summer decisions

Sunderland could face a significant summer transfer dilemma, with reports suggesting two of Régis Le Bris’ key players are attracting major interest from across Europe.

Striker Brian Brobbey is the latest name to be linked with a high-profile move away from the Stadium of Light, with Bayern Munich reportedly monitoring his situation ahead of the summer window.

According to The Independent, the Bundesliga giants are keeping a close eye on the 24-year-old following an impressive debut season in the Premier League. Brobbey joined Sunderland from Ajax last summer in a deal worth around £17million, potentially rising to £21.5million with add-ons.

While his return of six goals in 25 appearances only tells part of the story, it is his physicality, movement and ability to lead the line that have reportedly caught the attention of elite clubs. The Netherlands international, who featured at Euro 2024, is also pushing for a place in his country’s World Cup squad - something that could further inflate his value.

At this stage, there is no indication Sunderland are willing to sell. However, any formal approach would test their resolve, particularly given the club’s model of identifying and developing high-potential talent. Brobbey is not the only Sunderland player drawing admiring glances. Midfielder Noah Sadiki is also the subject of widespread interest, with multiple Premier League clubs reportedly circling ahead of the summer window.

According to reports from TEAMtalk, Manchester United face strong competition for the 21-year-old, with Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton all credited with interest. Sadiki, who joined Sunderland from Union SG for around £15million last summer, has enjoyed a standout first campaign in England. The DR Congo international has made 27 Premier League appearances and established himself as a key figure in Le Bris’ midfield.

His energy, defensive awareness and ability to progress the ball have made him central to Sunderland’s system - and a major reason behind their push towards the top half of the table, though Sadiki is also on a long-term deal at the Academy of Light. As a result, Sunderland could be braced for approaches for both players this summer, placing sporting director Florent Ghisolfi in a pivotal position.
