Liverpool limped out of the Champions League on Tuesday night after defeat to PSG and suffered a new injury setback in the process

Liverpool's Champions League exit was compounded by star striker Hugo Ekitike suffering what appeared to be a serious leg injury. The Reds already have several first-team stars on the physio's table.
Arne Slot's side welcomed Les Parisiens to Anfield on Tuesday night already trailing 2-0 on aggregate. Despite a cagey first half, Liverpool were dominant to begin the second, but their efforts were in vain as an Ousmane Dembele double ousted them from the competition with the scoreline 4-0 over both legs.
Liverpool's night had already been one to forget as in the 32nd minute, Ekitike was stretchered off the field, with manager Slot later confirming that the lower leg injury he suffered was a severe one.
The French striker joins the likes of Alisson and Wataru Endo on the sidelines and the ECHO takes a look at some possible return dates and all of the Reds' injury news.

Hugo Ekitike
The 23-year-old has been a standout performer for Liverpool this season, but late in the first half on Tuesday night, he went down clutching his right lower leg. He left the pitch on a stretcher and the injury was non-contact.
Speculation is rife that Ekitike will now miss the rest of the season and potentially the World Cup and Slot issued an update after the match. There is no estimated return date yet, as tests are ongoing.

"Not too good," said Slot. "I think we could all see that it didn't look well and didn't look good. Let's wait and see what it will be. But we could all see it didn't look good.
"In the second half he went home so I haven't seen him yet. Losing a game is already very hard, especially in the way we lost it, but again, as it seems to be, losing a player is something we've had so many times this season. It's especially very hard for him because you never want to be injured."
Alisson Becker
Brazilian shot-stopper Alisson's season has been interrupted intermittently by a hamstring injury and he suffered a fresh setback ahead of the international break.
He did not make the squad for the match against PSG and speaking ahead of the tie, Slot said: "He will not be part of the PSG game either. Out for a bit longer. Towards the end of the season, we expect him to be fit."

The 33-year-old initially got injured just before last month's first-leg clash with Galatasaray. While he returned for the second leg, he confirmed that it is the same ailment that has been plaguing him and he expects to be back sooner than Slot predicted.
"I didn't suffer a new injury," he wrote on X. "I'm in the treatment phase, and the plan is to be in full playing condition by the end of April!"
The Merseyside derby against Everton on Sunday may come too soon for Alisson. Still, if his own post is to be believed, he could return the following weekend against Crystal Palace or the next game against Manchester United on May 3.
Wataru Endo
Japanese midfielder Endo ruptured an ankle ligament in February against Sunderland and left the pitch on a stretcher. He later underwent surgery.

Endo is not expected to feature again for Liverpool this season in light of this injury, though he does have his sights set on a return before the World Cup in June.
Japan manager Hajime Moriyasu said: "The plan is for [Endo] to be ready in time for the World Cup, so the rehabilitation process from surgery onwards is being considered. In order to play in the World Cup, he, the club, and we all share the same understanding."
Giovanni Leoni
Young defender Leoni's season was over before it had barely begun after he suffered an ACL injury on his debut against Southampton in the Carabao Cup last year.
He has undergone surgery on his knee and remains in rehabilitation. The Italian will not play for the Reds this campaign and will likely hope to return before the beginning of next season.

Conor Bradley
Like Leoni, Bradley picked up a serious knee injury earlier this season. He landed awkwardly in a clash against Arsenal but reportedly avoided an ACL rupture.
Bradley also underwent surgery, going under the knife in January, and it is expected he'll return at some point in the summer in preparation for the following campaign.
