Ben Foster wowed by 'fantastic' Nottingham Forest star and makes relegation prediction

Nottingham Forest are facing a fight against relegation with just six matches of the Premier League campaign remaining.

A credible 1-1 draw against Aston Villa has sparked renewed optimism among the fan base, and it’s now four games unbeaten under Vitor Pereira.

🔢How many points do Forest take from this run of fixtures…

Forest face Burnley next up in the Premier League, and that represents a huge chance for the Reds to pull further clear of the relegation zone.

Ben Foster thinks Nottingham Forest will stay up

It’s another point in the right direction for Forest after this positive performance against Villa, and Foster has seen positive signs.

He thinks Tottenham are the team in most danger, with the North London giants the team currently occupying 18th place in the Premier League table.

Foster said on The Ben Foster Podcast: “You can just tell with Forest they’ve got a bit of something about them, they’re fighting. Yesterday on Match of the Day, we had the four screens on, Spurs were by far the worst, and then you’ve got Forest digging away, really digging away, and Villa are a good team, let’s not forget that.

What Ben Foster said about Matz Sels

Foster has been a huge advocate for Sels over the last 18 months, regularly praising the Belgian last season as he claimed a share of the Golden Glove.

He was in the mood to praise him again after Forest’s latest performance against Aston Villa, waxing lyrical about him after the 1-1 draw.

Who was your Man of the Match vs Aston Villa?

Foster said on Match of the Day: “Matz Sels, take a bow. He was brilliant today; he earned Forest a point. The save from John McGinn is the save of the match, and then he makes a superb save when the ball is wobbling from a Matty Cash shot. It was a fantastic performance from him against Aston Villa.”

Sels is the number one custodian in the Premier League, and clearly, he’s thriving under the competition that Stefan Ortega has provided since his arrival in January.
