Brighton are reportedly interested in Newcastle’s Lewis Miley and have joined the race to sign the talented midfielder.
Miley has registered four assists and scored once in the Premier League for Newcastle this season. Despite Eddie Howe’s side’s recent struggles, Miley has emerged with plenty of credit from his 20 league appearances.
Still aged just 19, Miley has shown his versatility, notably shining at right wing-back during Newcastle’s 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League earlier this year.
Naturally, after proving such versatility and consistency, Newcastle’s academy graduate has been capturing the attention from European giants abroad, as well as Premier League rivals.
According to TEAMtalk, Brighton are one of the numerous clubs interested in the Englishman. The Seagulls feel they can offer Miley a clearer pathway to regular first-team Premier League football, something that the teenager will be aware of as he continues to grow as a player.

However, Brighton will have to compete with the likes of PSG and Manchester United for the signature of the playmaker, whilst Arsenal and Chelsea also hold an interest in the teenager.
It is reported that PSG have long been admirers of Miley after he left a lasting impression on the French giants during Newcastle’s historic Champions League draw at the Parc de France in 2023.
Miley’s signing could also bring Brighton a fresh injection of quality into the midfield as Carlos Baleba looks poised to leave the Seagulls.
Following concrete interest from Manchester United last summer, the Red Devils retain an interest in the 22-year-old, though other options are firmly under consideration at Old Trafford.
If United decide to step up their interest in Baleba, they could face competition for him, though Liverpool and Chelsea could be prepared to rival the Red Devils for the Cameroonian’s signature.
