Arne Slot has conceded that Liverpool will continue to operate a "sell to buy" policy in the transfer market. The head coach has also hinted at another hectic window for the outgoing Premier League champions.
The Reds are due to undergo yet another significant overhaul following a deeply disappointing campaign. It comes on the back of £450million worth of incomings and nearly £300m of outgoings last summer.
Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson will both depart on free transfers after nine years at the club. As for arrivals, 20-year-old centre-back Jeremy Jacquet will make the move from Rennes in a £60million deal.
Slot's side were knocked out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage by holders Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday. He now anticipates further arrivals as Liverpool look to strengthen across several positions and bounce back from a forgettable season.
"Much has been said that the club is in a transition," Slot told Prime. "The club has sold eight or 10 players to make money to sign five or so very talented players. We have to sell to buy.
"We are losing some players on a free transfer. It is a big challenge in the summer, but the club has shown that this model works.

"As I said many times, the future looks very good, especially if we can sign players after good players leave this summer." Slot was at pains to point out the positive outlook after their Champions League exit.
He said during his press conference: "Of course, we are very disappointed because I think there were parts of the second half where you could feel: ‘If we could just score now, this could become a very special night'
"But the future looks very bright for this team, for this club. We have shown we can compete with the champions of Europe in our stadium.
"To be the dominant team, not many teams can be dominant against PSG and create as many chances as we did. Creating chances is one thing, scoring is a second."

injury sustained half-an-hour into the match. The striker seems unlikely at this stage to feature in Liverpool's future for the rest of this season.
Slot said: "Hugo, we all saw from the video and the clips that it doesn’t look good. Hugo looks really bad, but it’s difficult for me to say how bad. Tomorrow, we will investigate further how bad it is for him. Let’s see. It doesn’t look good, that is clear.
“I haven’t spoken to him yet. I didn’t see him at half-time, and after the game he was already home.
“Eighty-eight minutes until tonight we could play Florian (Wirtz), Alex (Isak) and Hugo, and we added 27 or 28 to that, and I’d be surprised if we could add any more to that this season.”
