Crystal Palace have moved quickly after hearing that Andoni Iraola will leave Bournemouth at the end of the season.
The Spaniard has opted to take a similar decision to Oliver Glasner after choosing to leave Bournemouth when his contract expires this summer, rather than continue his excellent work with the Cherries.
Iraola is interested in managing Crystal Palace – according to Alan Nixon – and Marca in Spain have now progressed the story by claiming that Steve Parish has put an offer on the table.
Crystal Palace offer Andoni Iraola a contract
The Spanish news outlet believe Crystal Palace have offered the man born in Usurbil a multi-million pound contract to swap the south coast for south London.
Marca say the deal is a long-term offer from Parish, and Iraola is currently considering the proposal with a response expected in the coming days.
The report adds that Crystal Palace are ready to invest millions under the 43-year-old and want him to spearhead a new project once Glasner departs SE25 at the end of the season.
Athletic Bilbao – who Iraola made 510 appearances for during his playing days – and Villarreal are also said to be interested, but Parish has moved quickly in an attempt to swiftly fend off competition.

Iraola – who is a fan of Yeremy Pino – would be a superb appointment by the Eagles.
The former AEK Larnaca boss has recorded 132 wins and 90 draws from 335 games in management since hanging up his boots, with his Bournemouth side currently on a run of 12 games without defeat in the Premier League.
Iraola has managed to achieve that even despite losing Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City in January, having also lost Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez, Illia Zabarnyi and Dango Ouattara last summer.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as the Bournemouth boss considers the offer from Crystal Palace.
