Simon Jordan has told Manchester United to accept they were beaten by the better team and to not make excuses for their defeat at home to Leeds United.
Daniel Farke's team were 2-1 winners at Old Trafford after two Noah Okafor first-half goals put them in control before the hosts responded to going down to 10-men with a goal from Casemiro. The red card shown to Lisandro Martinez for his hair pull on Dominic Calvert-Lewin has dominated a lot of the post-match talk.
As has the fact that Man United had not played a game for three weeks because of the international break and then the subsequent weekend for the FA Cup quarter-finals, which they were not involved in.
Man United boss Michael Carrick called the sending off one of the worst referee decisions he'd ever seen, while Gary Neville was among a host of people suggesting the team were undercooked having waited so long for a game.
TalkSPORT pundit Jordan was having none of that as he gave his assessment on the game and the fallout since. He said; "They were poor because Leeds made them look poor.
“If you are playing game after game, week after week, you then turn around and say that we are playing too many games.
“Now, because your team have gotten beat, you are saying you haven’t played much. First of all, the players have been playing on international duty and other games. They were not sitting around and twiddling their thumbs.
“You lost a game because you were beaten by a better team on the day that were more at it and across it and took the game to you. Not because you haven’t played for three weeks.”
