Andoni Iraola – Celtic can only ask the question

Is Iraola, a realistic candidate for the Celtic job this summer? We can only ask the question…

With more than a few names being banded about regarding as to who is in the running to be the next manager of Celtic, with another new man in the frame in the shape of c.

The 43 year old Spaniard, who is currently in charge of EPL high flyers Bournemouth, has recently revealed that he plans to leave his post at the cherries when the season is concluded.

The former Rayo Vallecano boss who was once on the radar of Celtic a few years ago, has impressed in the top flight of English football, making Bournemouth very much a permanent fixture in the top eight, with a European place a possibility come the end of the season.

Iraola who cut his teeth in management with sides such as AEK Larnaca, Mirandes, before impressing in La Liga with Vallecano, is highly regarded in the game, and will undoubtedly be in high demand due to the expiration of his deal on the south coast of England.

The Spaniard adopts an exciting philosophy, and his system also relies heavily on a defensive midfielder, something that’s been neglected in our side for quite some time. All round, he is a really attractive candidate.

We need a an up and coming modern coach, and more importantly, someone with a great track record in management, and Iraola ticks all those boxes.

Could he be a realistic choice to take our club forward? He will undoubtedly be on a decent wage, but similar to that of Brendan Rodgers, so we it’s not beyond our grasp to entice him north.

We can only ask that question, wouldn’t you agree? Although it all hinges on our incompetent hierarchy, whose record of recruiting quality, be that in the dug out or on the pitch is woefully shocking.

Just an Ordinary Bhoy
