Oliver Glasner is set to leave Crystal Palace this summer, and they are now well-positioned to appoint AFC Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola as a replacement.
Iraola fails to agree new contract with Bournemouth
Iraola's three-year stint with Bournemouth will come to an end in the summer, with the manager confirming his decision to leave in a statement on Tuesday night.
The Spaniard said: "It has been an honour to manage AFC Bournemouth and I am proud of what we have achieved together. I’m thankful to the players and staff that I’ve worked with, as well as Bill, who have all made my time here so special.
"As for the fans, you have continued to show your fantastic support to myself and the team, and for that I will always be grateful. I feel this is the right moment for me to step away, but I will always carry fantastic memories of this club.”

The ex-Rayo Vallecano manager has stabilised the Cherries in the Premier League, since arriving in the summer of 2023, and his side could even mount a late European push this season, after picking up a shock 2-1 victory away at Arsenal last time out.

Bournemouth will be tasked with bringing in a new manager at the end of the campaign, and the same is true for Crystal Palace, with Glasner planning to leave, regardless of whether his side win the Europa Conference League.
Earlier this week, it was revealed the Bournemouth boss would be interested in holding talks regarding a move to Selhurst Park, and former scout Mick Brown believes Steve Parish & co are in a strong position to get a deal done.

Every current Premier League boss ranked from best to worst.
Brown told Football Insider: "Iraola is an ambitious target for them because there are clubs all over Europe looking at him, but if they can show the right kind of ambition, they could get it done.
"Managing in the Europa League for a club who are keen to make progress could be tempting for him, and it would improve Crystal Palace’s stock as well. They’re a good club, Crystal Palace, and a stable one who are looking to continue with their gradual improvement, so prospective manager will look at that fondly."
It would certainly be a show of ambition if Palace were able to lure Iraola to Selhurst Park, given that he was lauded as an "elite" manager by Jamie Redknapp earlier this season.
However, it could be difficult to tempt the 43-year-old, who prefers to use a 4-2-3-1 formation, as the likes of Newcastle United and Liverpool are also sniffing around, with Eddie Howe and Arne Slot under increasing pressure.
