West Ham United's Under 17s are Premier League Cup champions after defeating Blackburn Rovers by the odd goal in five at Accrington Stanley's Wham Stadium this evening.
Under 15s midfielder Jude Longman opened the scoring for West Ham from the edge of the 18 yard box, before a brace for Blackburn put Rovers ahead in the tie by half time.
However a spirited comeback from the young Hammers in the second period saw Joel Kerr's low cross converted by Chuk Obi, equalising from close range.
And there were less than two minutes of normal time remaining when across was converted from inside the six-yard box by provider Kerr, which was enough for West Ham to secure the trophy - despite having to play an additional 10 rather heated added-on minutes.
