Only one of the four bottles will be available to Leeds United fans during a special event next month.
One Leeds United fan could get their hands on a limited edition Billy Bremner whisky next month as funds are raised to commemorate the former Whites captain in his hometown.
Leeds legends, favourites and fans will come together on Saturday May 23 for the Billy Bremner Gala Dinner, an event held to raise funds for a statue of the Elland Road icon in Raploch, Stirling. Former teammates Paul Reaney, Allan Clarke, Mick Jones and David Harvey will be present, as will Glynn Snodin and John Sheridan who played under the fiery Scotsman.
As part of the fundraising efforts, a silent auction will be held and the Scottish Football Supporters’ Association (SFSA) has donated one bottle of a limited edition, single malt whisky in conjunction with the Stirling Distillery. The bottle’s label includes images of Bremner representing club and country, with just four created in total.

A statement from the SFSA read: “This Speyside Malt has been cast to honour Stirling’s most famous football player - Billy Bremner. A son of Stirling rock, he was captain of the famous Leeds United team and his beloved Scotland. His philosophy of team before self and his passion and skill made him a true one off. It elevated him to legend status, just like this limited edition Whisky.”
Alexander Gibb, Project Manager for the SFSA, said: “We were delighted to partner with The Stirling Distillery to create such a unique product. Billy wore the number 4 with pride for the famous Leeds United side and of course as the most iconic captain of the Scotland national side. With just four bottles available we hope to raise as much money as we can to help us get the statue of Billy built.”

Cameron McCann of the Stirling Distillery added: “When we were approached by the SFSA, we were delighted to be involved in such a worthwhile project to honour Stirling’s finest footballer. The 11-year-old Speyside Malt is, we believe, a fitting tribute to Stirling’s most famous son.”
There is also an online raffle which can be entered, with some interesting prizes including a print from Elland Road muralist Robert Endeacott. All profits from the dinner, raffle and silent auction will go towards the statue of Bremner to be erected in Raploch.
Tickets for the Gala Dinner are £60 per person for non-VIP and £70 for VIP, the latter including a photo opportunity with the former players. All tickets include a one-course lunchtime meal. Tables of eight and 10 can also be booked. More information on the event, including tickets, can be found at www.followmeandleedsunited.co.uk/gala-dinner.
