Newcastle United will head into Saturday's Premier League clash with Bournemouth without any new injuries but with one LESS player than last weekend's defeat to Crystal Palace.

While the Magpies' injury list may now be small, head coach Eddie Howe saw midfielder Joelinton pick up a two-match ban after collecting his 10th yellow card of the season at Selhurst Park.

With captain Bruno Guimaraes not expected to feature, it means another midfield change for the game with the Cherries, with Jacob Ramsey likely to come in.

Howe needs his squad firing on all cylinders to end a depressing month for the United head coach, and with that in mind, here is the latest injury situation.

Bruno Guimaraes

Injury: Hamstring

While United's captain did not have any injury setback, his comeback plan was delayed by illness, meaning he was not available for last weekend's game at Palace. He is a doubt this Saturday but shoud be fit to return against Arsenal.

What Howe has said: "Bruno suffered from mumps and that has set him back so he will miss this weekend's game and is a doubt for Bournemouth too. No injury, concern the illness stopped him. Maybe the game after."

Expected return: Arsenal (A)

Joelinton

Suspension: Two matches

The Brazilian will miss the next two games after picking up his 10th yellow card of the season in the 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace last Sunday. It means with Bruno a doubt, Eddie Howe will again have to reshuffle his midfield for Bournemouth and Arsenal.

Free to return: Brighton (H)

Fabian Schar

Injury: Ankle

The Swiss defender suffered an infection as he neared a comeback following ankle surgery in January, which set him back a few weeks. He should be fit before the end of the season but is not expected to feature in the coming games.

What Howe has said: "Fabian Schar picked up an infection in his foot so will be out for another month."

Expected return: West Ham (H)

Emil Krafth

Injury: Knee

The Sweden defender is likely to have played his last game for the club after undergoing knee surgery. He is out of contract this summer and is expected to leave at the end of the season.

What Howe has said: "Emil's had an operation on his knee so I think in all likelihood, it looks like his season is over, which is a real blow for us. He first suffered the problem on international duty. We hoped that he could come back and be OK, but it was clear in training recently that he wasn't going to get to the level needed, and there needed to be a surgical intervention."

Expected return: Unknown
