Adam Armstrong has asked Wolves fans to ‘stick with us’ as they aim to finish the season well despite impending relegation.
The club could drop to the Championship this weekend and if not, they should be relegated in a matter of weeks barring a miracle.
Armstrong, who was signed in the winter transfer window with next season in mind, has nothing but praise for the reception he has received from the fans and urges them to stick with the team in the final six games of the season.
When asked for his message to supporters, he said: “Stick with us!
“Seeing how good the fans have been for the league position, I can't imagine what it's like when we’re winning every week, it’ll be such an electric atmosphere.
“The fans have been brilliant and always support us because we’re trying to do our best on the pitch.
“You might not see that sometimes, but honestly, everyone is.
“Stick with us. I really appreciate you guys.”
Fans have already begun chanting Armstrong’s name at games and the striker is relishing the support.
He added: “The fans have been excellent.
“When you see fans in the street, or if I'm shopping, you always see them and they always want to speak to you.
“They've been spot on. I feel like the games that I've had recently, I've played well, but maybe missing the goal. To get the goal against Brentford just topped it off for me.
“But it’s amazing, I’m enjoying it, loving it, love the fans and everyone around here. They've made me settle in really, really well.
“It's hard to say that this team is bottom of the league from what I've seen, just speaking personally, and we have to take the next six games like cup finals.”
Armstrong has also enjoyed playing at Molineux as a Wolves player, instead of an opposition player.
“It's never been an easy place to come to, to be honest,” Armstrong said.
“I don't think I've won a game at Wolves, it's an incredible stadium.
“It's a massive family club and everyone wants the team to do the best and that's certainly what you see.
“They to get the best out of the players and we're the same. We want to try and win.
“Every footballer wants to win games and when you're winning it obviously makes it a lot easier, but people are so down to earth around here and helping you as well.”
