Leeds United and Everton-linked star mooted as potential target for Liverpool - report

Liverpool linked with shock swoop for Leeds United-linked Fulham winger Harry Wilson

Leeds United are known to be admirers of Fulham’s Harry Wilson - but the winger could reportedly be in Liverpool’s sights this summer.

The 29-year-old came close to wearing the yellow, white and blue of Leeds last summer, only to see a proposed move from Crave Cottage to Elland Road break down on deadline day.

He has continued to be linked with the Whites, who have watched Wilson hit new heights down in the capital. This season, the Wales international has registered 11 goals and seven assists across all competitions.

Liverpool linked with Harry Wilson

The likes of Everton, Aston Villa and even Wrexham have been credited with interest in the wideman, who has now been mooted as a potential target for his former club Liverpool.

TEAMtalk have claimed he cannot be ruled out as a potential target for the club who gave him his first professional deal.

Wilson was in Liverpool’s senior ranks from 2014 until 2022, but was afforded just two first-team appearances. He was loaned to the likes of Hull City and Derby County before eventually joining Fulham on a permanent deal.

It has been a frustrating season at Anfield and Arne Slot’s squad will undoubtedly need some work this summer. Wilson may not be the glamorous signings craved by the Kopites, but his record in the Premier League is difficult to criticise.

For Leeds, meanwhile, he would be a statement signing. It remains to be seen whether the Whites rekindle their interest and a lot may hinge on their fate in the Premier League.

Daniel Farke’s side currently sit 15th in the table, six points clear of the drop zone, although are not yet assured of safety.

Collapse of Leeds United deal

“My phone was going off every two minutes. It was going to happen, then it wasn't going to happen. Then it was back on, then it was off.

“It wasn't a certain few days or 24 hours. I didn't know where I was going to be. It was a bit of a relief when the window closed and I could concentrate on the football."
