Vitor Pereira says two 'very talented' Nottingham Forest players could start vs Porto

Vitor Pereira is hoping to secure a first home win as the Nottingham Forest head coach and set up a Europa League semi-final.

The Reds drew 1-1 in Porto last week and must now finish the job at the City Ground in order to remain in the competition.

Would you be happy with this Nottingham Forest team to play Porto?

Let us know what changes you'd make below!

Forest face Burnley on Sunday, with that game proving a hugely important fixture in the battle to remain a Premier League club this season.

Ahead of the game, Pereira has confessed he’s got some selection decisions to make and was quizzed on two players in particular who will be fighting to start tonight.

What Vitor Pereira said about James McAtee and Dilane Bakwa

Both McAtee and Bakwa are craving more minutes and the Europa League campaign has seen them play, especially under Pereira.

Now, ahead of the second leg, the head coach has been quizzed on the two players and he believes they’re pushing hard to start tonight.

He said in his press conference: “Both players are very talented. When you have players with this sort of talent, you just need to give them confidence, support and chances to play.”

MORE FOREST STORIES

McAtee and Bakwa have looked short of confidence all season, especially when Sean Dyche was in place and seemingly didn’t want to utilise either player at any point.

Now, there is a real togetherness among the Forest dressing room and it would appear as though Pereira has instilled a similar sort of morale as Nuno Espirito Santo did.

If McAtee and Bakwa both start against Porto it would further enhance their confidence and hopefully, the Reds can get the job done tonight.
