Man Utd managerial candidate Andoni Iraola is “more likely to stay in England” than return to Spain when he leaves Bournemouth this summer, according to reports.
It has been confirmed that the 43-year-old will depart the Vitality Stadium at the end of the season when his contract expires.
There has been speculation that Iraola could be appointed by Athletic Bilbao, a club he spent 16 years with as a player.

Man Utd may change their plans to appoint Carrick
It is believed that the Red Devils were closing in on appointing Michael Carrick on a permanent basis before the news about Iraola’s impending departure from Bournemouth was made public.
The Cherries head coach is said to be on United’s shortlist of potential candidates, although it isn’t entirely clear how high up the list of options he is.
With Iraola set to be out of work in just a few months, though, he may now come under serious consideration.
Multiple Premier League clubs are keen on Iraola
Crystal Palace are said to be interested in hiring him as a replacement for Oliver Glasner, who is also set to leave his post at Selhurst Park this summer.
However, Iraola may well feel that the Eagles are a similar profile of club to Bournemouth, so it seems unlikely that he would be tempted by that opportunity.
The I Paper claim that Iraola would be open to the possibility of managing Liverpool or Newcastle if there is a vacancy at either team.
Reds boss Arne Slot and Newcastle manager Eddie Howe are under massive pressure after disappointing campaigns, and Liverpool’s sporting director, Richard Hughes, already has a strong relationship with Iraola, having helped appoint him during his time at Bournemouth.
