Leeds United may not have to bother with finding a new club for Jack Harrison in the upcoming transfer window.

The 29-year-old joined Fiorentina on loan until the end of the season in January, with the Italian club holding an option to buy him in the summer.

As the Serie A side fight to avoid relegation, the English attacker has played a pivotal role in helping them achieve that goal, providing back-to-back assists in two 1-0 wins against Hellas Verona and Lazio.

Fiorentina are expected to send Harrison back to the West Yorkshire outfit at the end of the campaign, but the winger’s recent heroics may force La Viola into a U-turn over permanently signing him.

Daniel Farke will expect backing at Elland Road if the Peacocks survive Premier League relegation and it’s clear that the former Manchester City ace probably isn’t part of his plans.

Harrison’s record in win over Lazio

Apart from the winger’s work up front, he made four defensive contributions, blocked one shot, had seven receptions and won four of his eight ground duels.

With La Viola eight points above the relegation zone and Harrison coming into form, 49ers Enterprises will surely be confident about the Italian club changing their mind about him.

Daniel Farke should have one plan in place for summer window at Elland Road

Dominic Calvert-Lewin wasn’t at his best against Manchester United, missing some big chances to score and seal the tie for Leeds.

While the Whites secured the three points with a 2-1 victory, they endured a nervy finish as they defended against the Red Devils’ 10 men looking for an equaliser in the final 20 minutes.

While the former Everton star has been decent for the West Yorkshire outfit, they undoubtedly need a much more clinical goalscorer in their ranks for next season.

Farke should make signing a new number nine one of his priorities in the summer if he wants to make progress with the Peacocks.
