Newcastle United could lose a number of key players in the summer transfer window.
Fabrizio Romano revealed earlier this week that Newcastle "could sell one or two top players" this summer as they look to comply with Financial Fair Play and the new Squad Cost Rules.
And Anthony Gordon could be the one, or one of the ones to depart.
Gordon joined Newcastle from Everton in the 2023 January transfer window in a deal worth around £45million. The Magpies would be looking for considerably more than that to sell him now. A figure in the region of £80million has been touted.

While they would be reluctant to see the England international leave, particularly after just becoming the club's all-time top scorer in the UEFA Champions League, it is being reported that Gordon is ready to quit the club this summer.
A report in the Telegraph stated that Gordon is "keen to explore his options to leave Newcastle United in the summer as he looks to follow Alexander Isak out of the club".
According to the Telegraph, Gordon has not told Newcastle chiefs that he wants to leave, but there is a feeling around the club that there will be movement over a potential exit when the summer transfer window opens.
Three clubs have been credited with a concrete interest in the 25-year-old, with Romano stating that "several clubs are involved in the first round of discussions" over a deal to sign the frontman.
Arsenal and Liverpool have held long-standing interest in Gordon, while Bayern Munich have also made it clear they are keen to sign him, with a winger their top priority in the summer.

Liverpool tried to bring the former Everton man to the club two summers ago, and held talks with Newcastle over a deal that would have helped the Magpies with their Profit & Sustainability Rules situation.
However, Newcastle would eventually sell Elliot Anderson to Nottingham Forest, to ease their financial concerns, leading to Gordon's move to Anfield to be called off.
Were Gordon, who has scored 17 goals and has five assists in 46 appearances for the toon this season, to make the move to Germany he would link up with England teammate Harry Kane.
