The pressure is mounting on Eddie Howe as Newcastle United sit 14th in the Premier League.
The Public Investment Fund are reportedly attracted to the idea of a big-name manager joining Newcastle United.
Eddie Howe is facing increasing pressure at St James’ Park. Newcastle sit 14th in the Premier League and lost both derbies to bitter rivals Sunderland.
The manner of the defeats has also led to criticism, with the Magpies surrendering 25 points from winning positions this season. Boos echoed from the Selhurst Park away end after another Newcastle capitulation on Sunday.
Eddie Howe remains committed
Howe is set to face the media again tomorrow morning where his future will undoubtedly be a hot topic. Speaking before the Palace defeat, the Toon boss reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to Newcastle.
"For me, nothing has changed,” he told reporters. “I'm absolutely 100 per cent committed to the job. That commitment has never wavered from my side.
"I've been working during the break to make sure that we come back as a stronger team. I think, in this day and age, it's very difficult to look too far in the long-term. I can only look at these seven games and make sure that we perform at our very best level."
PIF stance on Eddie Howe
