Leeds set to bring in record revenues

Listen 'ere, right? Since that Todd Boehly and them Clearlake lot took over Chelsea, they've proper gone mental, ain't they? Over a billion quid splashed on new players since 2022, and somehow they're still wrigglin' through them Premier League PSR rules what only let you lose 105 million over three years.

But they ain't just spunkin' cash like normal clubs, oh no...These saucy bastards are proper cookin' the books, mate! First off, they're dishin' out these ridiculous long contracts, seven, eight, even ten-year deals to the likes of Mudryk, Caicedo and that lot.

Instead of amortisin' the transfer fee over five years like a normal club, they spread it out thin as bleedin' stork margarine. A hundred million player on an eight-year deal? Only costs 'em twelve-and-a-half million a year on the books. Genius, innit? Makes the annual loss look smaller so they can keep buyin' like there's no tomorrow.

Then there's the proper dodgy bit nsellin' stuff to themselves! They flogged a couple of hotels and a car park to one of their own sister companies, pulled in tens of millions in "profit". But the big one? They sold the women's team to another part of the same ownership group for up to two hundred million quid! Turned a ninety million loss into a hundred-and-twenty-eight million profit overnight.

Magic, ain't it? All on paper, of course. UEFA took one look and told 'em to do one, said it weren't proper arm's-length, not the proper cut of the cloth, but the Premier League let it slide... for now.

On top of that, they're stackin' up young lads with resale value, keepin' the book values low thanks to them long deals, then floggin' 'em on for pure profit when the time's right.

Homegrown ones especially, zero book value, full fee goes straight in the profit column. They're shiftin' payments, timin' sales, writin' off the flops... the whole bleedin' works.

Fair play, it's clever. Some reckon it's financial genius. Me? I call it classic creative accounting, but I wouldn't call it legal... until the rules get tightened up and it all comes crashin' down.

Cos while the books look rosy, the actual cash is still flyin' out the door like there's no tomorrow. If them players don't perform or the values drop, they're gonna be in right stook, the tea leaves that they are.

Proper load of old pony if you ask me, but that's modern Chelsea for ya, spend like a drunken sailor, but cook the numbers like a master chef. Cheeky bastards!
